It is an easy-to-prepare, last-minute treat for Saint Valentine’s Day – a day to celebrate and express love.
At the ranch, we had subscribed to Dr. Andrew Weil’s e-newsletter in 2006. It was here that we first came across this yummy recipe – “Cocoa-Banana Frozen Dessert.”
It is a keeper – due to its simplicity and the way in which it can be altered with different flavors.
I am reminded of it again, finding it in Dr. Weil’s online collection, “A Chocolate Celebration,” which includes six dark-chocolate recipes.
Note that this recipe contains no added sugar or dairy. On occasion, we dipped fresh strawberries into the mixture before freezing. A little improvisation with different flavors can change how it’s served from one meal to the next.
