Caring for Our Caregivers – Your Immune System Matters  Picture of a senior with her caregiver in the park, back view

It’s important for all of us to follow procedures recommended by scientists in order to protect the care recipient, our families, our communities, and ourselves.

When has it been more apparent? We are dependent upon front-line caregivers to help keep our communities strong.  When our national readiness and preparation are being tested – and found missing – additional stress is introduced into the role and expectation of the healthcare worker to be the one to “manage” it.

According to Dr. Pedram Shojai, this 7 part documentary series, Gateway To Health: Healing Secrets for Oral Biome, is the most comprehensive study into the oral biome that’s ever been undertaken.

“Until now, we thought all healing began in the gut microbiome. We were wrong,” he states.

We now have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Shojai and a roster of preeminent doctors, researchers and specialists – speaking about the mouth microbe and how we can protect our immune systems by rebalancing the bacteria in our mouths!

I’m interested. How to proceed?

New Frontier – Whole Body Healthcare

I have followed Dr. Shojai’s work since production of the documentary, Vitality, in 2012.  By that time, my beliefs – based upon personal experience as “witness” to the care of my parents beginning in 1998 – were in complete alignment.

By 2019 when “Interconnected” premiered, I was there for every episode. It is about personalized medicine with an individualized and preventative focus.

It’s the medicine of the future!
