Having a season subscription to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for 35+ years, I looked forward to the return performances of this guest artist. He became a top favorite performer on a long list of guest soloists.

Yo-Yo Ma, the renowned cellist, was told at an earlier point in his life that he had not yet “found his voice.” In this interview, he states that he now uses his voice to discover the needs of others and then offer comfort.

Here he offers his gift of a brief musical clip of his own in a display of support during the COVID-19 crisis.
