Global Action Addresses A Global Problem

According to the website of Alzheimer’s Disease International:

“2 out of every 3 people globally believe there is little or no understanding of dementia in their countries. The impact of World Alzheimer’s Month is growing, but the stigmatisation and misinformation that surrounds dementia remains a global problem requiring global action.”

World Alzheimer’s Month is not only a time to better understand dementia’s impact but also an opportunity to become informed and support those affected in our global community. It is a coordinated effort to promote awareness, care, and science –  all year round.

People everywhere can support the campaign theme and information provided during September by observing it locally via discussions with family, friends, and colleagues. You can also follow the campaign on social media, by visiting the website of the Alzheimer’s association in your country.
