Loved this!

Found on the website of my church in Chicago – a performance in the Fourth Presbyterian Church’s Buchanan Chapel.

Each Tuesday we are delighted to welcome the Good Memories Choir to Fourth Church for their weekly gatherings. This choral group is—as you will see in this segment from NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt—an “upbeat community where people with early-stage memory loss and their care partners sing together, enjoying familiar music that they love.” Read more about them in the Washington Post and in the Chicago Tribune.

In the segment from NBC, Dr. John Torres, Medical Correspondent, states:

It doesn’t matter if you sing, play an instrument, or just listen to it… Music can slow cognitive decline… Just be musical!
